Joe played guitar and programmed sequencers in several bands based in Glasgow, Scotland during the 90s, and released several successful self-funded singles. Joe also supported several bands throughout the UK including Goodbye Mr Mackenzie.

After this Joe continued programming sequences for other bands and moved into sound engineering. Joe worked for several PA companies before becoming one of the resident sound engineers at King Tuts Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow, where Joe engineered numerous named artists including Midge Ure, Glen Tilbrook, Moloko and Catatonia.

In 2005 'And' received strong reviews on www.garageband.com and went into the top 40 with comments like:

Future Music

'Never i', was featured on the MIDEM 2005 CD sampler, produced by Gotham Records and  received strong positive feedback including :

" .. a great overall melody .. some of the sound combinations in the chorus are quite inspired .. ",

'For You', also from the 'Never i' CD, was featured on the Tsunami Charity CD, produced by Purpose Built Records.

Following the release of  'Never i', Joe signed a publishing deal with Impact Music Limited. This led to Joe writing music for various film projects, released at the end of 2004/beginning 2005, plus the completion of Joe's 4th CD 'moving'.

Tracks from 'Moving' and 'Never i' were played extensively on www.pulseunsigned.com. Wickid Pissa also featured 'Moving' on their short film 'The Last Days of Central'.

Moving

'Tired and Emotional' was reviewed in both Future Music and Computer Music magazines. One of the songs from 'Tired and Emotional', 'Where are You', was included on the front cover CD of the 63rd issue of Computer Music and received comments like-

" .. Interesting vocal processing keeps you thinking .. evolving pulsing grooves .. 'where are you' has great sound and elements .. ",
Computer Music Magazine.

The 'Tired and Emotional' CD received extensive airplay on the Australian radio station www.isonliveradio.com

Radio 1

Two of the tracks from Joe's first CD, 'Legacies', were placed on the Radio 1 OneMusic website - http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/onemusic
and were described as -
